IS CHRISTIANITY CREDIBLE? IS THERE AN INTELLECTUAL BASIS FOR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST AS THE SON OF GOD? It is with these questions that William Bright begins the foreword to Josh McDowell's book, Evidences that Demand a Verdict - Volume 1. These same questions have come to my mind as I have studied Christianity. The lesson outlines found here are part of my personal study to answer these very questions. If the answer to either of these questions is no - then Christianity is worthless. However, if the answer to both of these questions is yes - and I believe it is - then we must be "...ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account of the hope that is in you..." (1 Pet. 3:15). Another book that has been invaluable to my Bible study in the area of evidences is Batsell Barrett Baxter's, I Believe Because... A Study of the Evidence Supporting the Christian Faith. |
