Young Children:
Activity
1. The next time you invite a playmate to your house to play, make some special preparations ahead of time. Parents, talk to your child about how the people showed special attention toward Jesus to honor him.
2. Tell you child the story Jesus told about the poor widow in Mark 12:41-44. Even though we may not have much to give, God is pleased when we give with a good heart.
Young Men and Women/Adults:
1. In Mark 10: 32-34, Jesus clearly told his apostles about His death, but when the actual event occurred, the apostles were surprised. If Jesus tells us that we should obey, but we don't, do you believe we will suffer the consequences? (Compare this reasoning with the apostles' reasoning.)
2. Mark 10:42-45 "Anyone who wants to be important among you must be your servant". Contrast what the world thinks important to what God views as important.
3. When you pray for something do you believe you will receive it? Mark 11:24 Should we pray for something over and over again? Does God hear us the first time we make a request?
