Young Children:
1. If your child is age 3 or older, they should begin to understand what an idol is. Explain to them that when people create objects and then pray and speak to that object as if it is God, then that is idolatry. Even small children can see the absurdity of this.
2. Jesus did a wonderful thing for us. Explain to your child each day this week that Jesus died on the cross so that we could have the chance of erasing all the wrong things we do.
Young Men and Women/Adults:
1. How (in what way) did the Jews twist the words of Paul and Silas? Who ultimately was behind this?
2. How did the Bereans treat what Paul said?
3. After Aquilla and Priscilla instructed Apollos in the way of the Lord, he then proved from the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ. Can you prove from the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ. Imagine someone does not believe Jesus was the Christ -- outline what you would say.
For this week:
Acknowledge your limitations and your reliance upon God, remember that He will supply what you need.
"In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Prov. 3:6
