II. Verse 1
There is, beyond the azure blue, a God, concealed from
human sight, He tinted skies with heav'nly hue and framed the
worlds with his great might.
John 1:18, Hebrews 11:3, I John 4:11-15, 3 John 11.
Today's scientists claim that the universe was formed by a big
bang that occurred 15 million years ago. The real problem with
this theory is: what caused the big bang? They have no answer
to this question. There are several reasons in nature that prove
the existence of a powerful being. Ours is an orderly universe.
The laws that govern it are precise. If there was not perfect
balance between them, the planets and stars could not exist. The
second reason is the law of entropy. This law states that anything
which is organized tends, with time, to become disorganized. What
does this tell us? The big bang theory says that order came from
chaos. The very laws that they claim to believe in disprove their
theories. What is the answer?. As our song states, there is a
God! He is concealed from our sight. He formed the Universe. He
is the reason for the order and perfect balance of nature!
III. Verse 2
There was, a long long time ago, a God whose voice the
prophets heard, he is the God that we should know, who speaks
from His inspired Word.
John 6:45, 2 Chron. 20:20, Acts 3:20-24, Rom 1:1-2, 16:26-27,
Eph 2:19-22, 2 Peter 1:21.
God, in his infinite wisdom used men (prophets) to convey his
will to man. These prophets were inspired by the Holy Ghost to
accomplish this important message. The words of the prophets point
to a savior. It is the word from this Savior and that conveys
his Word to us today. To reject the words of this Savior, is to
reject the prophets, and, more importantly, to reject God. God
is not dead, he is not asleep, he speaks to us through his son.
He is a living God!
IV. Verse 3
Secure, is life from mortal mind, God holds the germ within
his hand, Tho' men may search they can not find, for God alone
does understand.
Gen 1:1, 1:20, 2:7, Ecc 5:18, Matt 6:24-34, 1 Cor 2:7-10.
As scientists attempt to unravel the mysteries of the universe,
they come upon more and more questions, and have fewer and fewer
answers. What they need to understand is that God holds all the
secrets. It is God that understands. Our feeble minds can only
comprehend what God reveals to us. What God tells us are the important
answers. Man in his limited wisdom, theorizes that he can comprehend
all that is around him. We need to look to God for answers and
be content to serve him.
V. Verse 4
Our God, whose Son upon a tree, a life was willing there
to give, that He from sin might set man free, and evermore with
him could live.
Acts 5:29-31, Rom 5:1-11, 2 Cot 4:10-12, I John 5:20.
This living God, sent his Son to the earth to give up his life
so that man may live eternally. If God is deed, so are we, for
it is only through him and his Son that we have hope: hope that
we, through accepting and following his Word, can live on. If
God is dead we have no hope!
VI. Chorus
There is a God, He is alive, in him we live and we survive;
from dust our God created man, He is our God, the Great I Am.
Psalms 55:22, Ex 3:14.
To deny the existence of God, is to deny our own existence. Only
through a careful examination and a careful walk in the words
of God can we ensure our eternal survival and discovery of the
greatest being that lives. OUR GOD!
