Birth of Jesus

Young Children:

Discuss Jesus' birth and it's significance to the world.

Ask questions:

Where was Jesus born?

Who was Jesus' mother?

Who was Jesus' heavenly father?

Who was his father figure on earth?

Older Children and Adults:

1. Imagine a special vistor was coming to your house who was important, powerful, and rich. Each family member should describe that person, then share it.

2. What is meant by a "virgin birth"?

3. What points would you list in favor of accepting Jesus as "The Messiah"?

4. Find two passages in the Old Testament that point to the coming of a messiah.

5. Why is it we emphasize the death of Christ more so than his birth?

6. Matt. 3: 2 "Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand." What does that mean?

7. Who was John?

8. Why did he object to baptizing Jesus?
