Temptation of Jesus

Young Children:

Discuss with your child:

Who do you go to when you are hurt?

When someone tries to get you to do something wrong who can help you?

Remember God's words when you are tempted.

 

Activity: Draw a face on a paper plate and cut out the eyes. Teach children to look

through the face and up to God when tempted to do wrong.


Older Children and Adults:

1. What were the three temptations?

2. Temptation ­ What was Jesus offered and why?

3. Is everyone tempted the same way?

4. Discuss how different people may be tempted. Name one way that others are tempted but you are not.

5. How can one combat temptation?

6. What was the purpose of the temtation of Jesus?

 

Individual Activity: Make a chart for yourself and fill in the blanks. The headings are listed below. An example is given.
