Jesus Faces Confrontation

Young Children:

1. Jesus rode into town on a donkey. This was a display of royalty, yet He was humble. Discuss the meaning of humilty with your children.

2. When Mom and Dad ask you to do something and you do not do it, are you obeying them? What does God think when you disobey?

Activity:

How are we to praise God? Sing a song that praises Him such as: "Jesus Loves Me" or He's My King."


Young Men and Women/Adults:

1. Is it okay to show anger? Discuss how a person might show anger correctly.

2. Why did Jesus answer with a question in Matt. 21:23-27?

3. What lesson(s) can we learn from the "Story of the Two Sons," "The Story of the Vineyard," and "The Story of the Wedding Feast?"

4. Is it right to pay taxes? Is it right to pay them to a government that might spend the money in an immoral way?

5. What is the most important commandment? Why do you think it is the most important?

6. What does it mean to be pious?

7. List the "signs" mentioned in Matt. 24.

8. How can Christians praise Jesus and God?
